Whatever is on paper is real. And it doesn't count the fact that in 30 years they will double anyway. You could optimise your return by selling when prices reach top and renting until prices start picking up and then up again. Then in 30 years you won't have just doubled your money but trebled or quadrupled (is this the right spelling for this? ).

When prices are going down you are losing money. Fact, not opinion.

Something is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. Untill they have paid this for it its not worth that amount.
