I thought of that too, but the bus isn't mentioned as moving or even about to move, so we can assume there was no driver on board because it is possible for a bus to be stationary without a driver even if there are passengers on board (could be outside talking to the bus depot manager or something). If the question had mentioned a 'moving bus' - hence....Originally posted by Gonzo View PostBuses usually have a driver - has anyone taken that into account?
There are 7 girls on a moving bus each girl has 7 bags containing 7 big cats, each big cat had 7 small cats each cat had 4 legs etc but no explicit mention of the driver, allowing the reader to work out the presence of an unmentioned driver as part of the calculation, then your point would certainly be relevant.Comment

I agree that there is not enough information in the question.Originally posted by Denny View PostI thought of that too, but the bus isn't mentioned as moving or even about to move, so we can assume there was no driver on board because it is possible for a bus to be stationary without a driver even if there are passengers on board (could be outside talking to the bus depot manager or something). Normally, the driver has to be on the bus to open the doors to let people on, but the driver could then have got out after the girls got on.....
I don't really know enough about buses, it is a long time since I last got on one. I am a contractor after all

I've often been on coaches or buses that have waited at bus stops ready to move off, but the driver is still outside with a clipboard or something or having a quick fag before moving off.Originally posted by Gonzo View PostI agree that there is not enough information in the question.

To be even more pedantic. There was no mention whether the cats were pregnant with second litters on the way, with embryos that had already formed legs inside the cats' wombs.

I like squirrels as well. They have loads hopping around Greenwich Park and I feed them nuts. They take them from my hand. Once I sat on a bench wearing thick jeans and I balanced a nut on my knee and a squirrel just ran up my lower leg to retrieve it.Originally posted by AtW View PostBaby squirrels are called kittens

I sometimes go to Knowle Park in Kent as well. There's not a squirrel to be seen anywhere. I think they must cull them.
