Ahem....I know I always lower the tone, and I do apologise for that.....but does anyone else find that when they eat chip shop fish their, erm, private areas smell of it?

I eat salmon all the time, and trout, and nice fresh tuna steak etc and I'm fine. But one bit of battered cod... Not sexy.

You have to go to a restaurant to get fish that tastes like fish.... something wrong with that. In New Zealand the fish in the fish and chip shops tastes like fish.... and its cooked to order.

Chippy gravy is horrible. In the village I live in we only hive a Chinese chippy. So when I get fish and chips I get a pot of their curry sauce which I drink while I'm eating my fish and chips.

I think it depends on where you go, in London and other cities it's not that good but in seaside towns you can get proper fish
