Just over 15 weeks to go.

That's about the mix of emotions represented accurately via smileys.

                15 weeks.

Booked venue, church, still-to-book-honeymoon, but just about decided on Canada, just finding out where to go at the mo. A mate mentioned Whistler, Bamf, Emerald Lake, and Vancouver so far.

Sorted dress for soon-to-be-Mrs-realityhack. Haven't seen it, just rang up the shop and parted with loadsa money via Visa and was sent a receipt. Sorting bridesmaids dresses asap as they need to be handmade to go with the colour scheme.

Sorted caterers but not menu, going for a sample meal soon, they're top class caterers anyway so not worried. Trying to sort car - don't yet know what kind. Sorted decor for church and reception just about. Invites being designed by a freelancer designer I know as I just don't have the time and she volunteered - she's one of the bridesmaids and eager to help out, should be sent out in 2 weeks.

Have MC, yet to brief him. Sorted suppliers for groomsmens' suits. Best man working on 2 stag dos, apparently.

And, saddo that I am, I've got everything on a wall chart, mind-map and project flowchart, with RAG status, along with google docs lists shared with the best man and other key ppl so we don't miss things (I over-organise as I'm very disorganised by nature).

                You?

                    You?

I can't believe I've been trumped to the alter by someone else!!!!

Why on earth have you dont it so quickly?!!!

You're the 5th person I know who has got engaged after me and married before me You take the record on quickness like!!

We've still got quite a bit to do: -

-Rings (blah - couldn't care less really)

-mens outfits + bridesmaids outfits (appointments in 3 weeks on the same day, so we can all go out in newcastle afterwards on the lash)

-the choosing of the booze (the most important task! We need to choose our own wine and champers for the venue - there are several tasting nights planned within the next month)

-invitations + other stationary (my mam's going to make them for us, so we're having my folks round ours in a couple of weeks to sit and get drun together and come up with a design between us!)

(I'm starting to see a pattern here - but the way I see it, if it can't be made fun, then I'm not letting either of us do it!)

Got a meeting with our wedding planner in 3 weeks to to iron out all the other things (colour scheme, table plan, DJ song list, etc etc etc)

Booked our honeymoon, but I'm not telling you where it is as when I told Cailin she laughed
