Unless you are entering the higher rate tax bracket then you won't be paying any more tax will you?

What with your dividends having the 10% tax credit on them up to the higher rate tax bracket. Or am I missing something.

The basis they determine whether you pay tax on account or not is if the majority of your tax liability is not paid at source, I cant remeber the %. Therefore if you paid yourself min wage and the rest divs upto the high tax band, you could still end up paying tax on account as the majority of your income is not taxed at source.

I live in the higher rate tax bracket on account of my over-extravagant lifestyle. It is expensive, but I like it.

Dividends are paid by companies! Not individuals.

And individuals do not spend companies' money!

Urrr ????? Your company declays a div, you have shares in the company you recieve the dividend, that dividend then becomes personel income, and therefore you declare it on your SA if you do one.
