What's with the funny numbers in SA's and Francko's signatures? Is there some sort of sweepstake or sporting event on?

For those of you who never leave before getting another offer in hand, how do you manage getting on interview? I hate losing a day’s wage on the off chance of getting an offer, I am in the situation that another company wants to interview me and they are willing to wait over a month for me (or that’s what the agent said) but need to go through 2 rounds of interviews (HR/Project PMs) dunno if I should go for the interview and lose a day (or two days) wages?Comment

Phone interview - takes an hour or so at most. If they're not interested after a phone interview, then I've not lost anything. If they insist on a face-to-face interview as anything other than a rubber-stamping exercise, then I'm not interested.Originally posted by SandyDown View PostFor those of you who never leave before getting another offer in hand, how do you manage getting on interview? It's called cost of sale. When am on a contract I work 5 days a week, and have deliverables, don't like taking time off when on a contract unless agreed far in advance.Originally posted by ratewhore View PostIt's called cost of sale. Are things really that tight you MUST work 5 days a week 52 weeks of the year?
But not 52 weeks a year, I don't have a problem goign to interviews when between contracts.
And btw: yes things are a bit tight at the moment, kids are like a bottomless pit, plus Eid is tomorrow
, and Xmas is next week.. also I have to pay my personal tax as well as the VAt by end of this month
