this is mine to 'I want one of those.com'
Dear Sir,
I would like to complain about the order I have placed with yourselves and your inability to deliver it. While I appreciate that Christmas is a busy time for all retail organisations, it is something which you can plan for since its' date is well known in advance!
I placed an order on the 3rd of December. On the 10th of December I got the email shown below...
Dear Anthony
Despite our very best efforts to track down more stock, we are disappointed to have to advise you that the 3D Hangman which you ordered is no longer available for shipping before Christmas 2007.
We have therefore removed this item from your order and apologise for this inconvenience and disappointment.
The other items in your order will be shipped in good time for Christmas. Thank you for your patience.
Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
Kind regards
IWOOT Team
Note the highlighted line there!
Today I got the following message...
"Dear Anthony
Despite our very best efforts to track down more stock, we are disappointed to have to advise you that the Bopit Download which you ordered is no longer available for shipping before Christmas 2007.
We have therefore removed this item from your order and apologise for this inconvenience and disappointment.

Notice now that the promise to deliver before Christmas is now missing!
I have had a brief chat with a person using your on-line chat system who told me that my order had been authorised but could (or would) not tell me anymore than that.
I then called one of your customer service representatives to enquire as to the dates relating to my order. It seems that my order was placed on the 3rd of Dec. 2 days later it was authorised. A full week after placing the order I got my first email stating that one of the items could not be dispatched and now today, 11 days after placing the original order I have been sent another email stating that another item on the order cannot be dispatched. To be honest I feel that this level of service falls way below what I would expect from any retail organisation.
I want somebody in your organisation to do the following.
1 - please guarantee to me that my order, minus the two items which cannot be sent, will arrive before Christmas. This order contains Christmas presents for people. If you cannot get the items to me (and you have had almost 2 weeks) then I will have to take steps to get these items from somebody who can actually meet the timescales they quote on their website.
2 - please guarantee that I will not be charged for the items which you have failed to include in my order, as I will now have to source these items elsewhere.
3 - Please give me a date when my order will be dispatched and when I can expect to receive it.
Taken from your website...
"Due to excessive demand, our packing elves are sweating a bit, but still working very, very hard. As such our delivery times have lengthened a little from 1-3 days to 1-5 days. Don't worry you will definitely get your shopping well in time for Christmas. Thanks for bearing with us!"
I would suggest that certain packing elves are not working as hard as others since my order has been 11 days and counting and it still has not yet been dispatched!!!!
Regards,
Anthony English.
Still not heard anything yetRule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.
I preferred version 1!Comment
