I would have left the UK many many years earlier.

I wouldn't have totally wasted my 20s by spending them in work doing unpaid overtime when I was permie. All my mates off shagging one another stupid on cheap Spanish holidays, ski-ing, trekking around the world and generally enjoying themselves while I was laughing at them convincing management that I would work myself to death to climb the greasy pole.

When I saw the light, and realised management could not care less if you do kill yourself for their benefit, and that I had wasted ten years of my life, my world fell apart.

For a start, I wouldn't have bought all the lottery tickets I have over the last ten years, averaging a fiver a week.

(I'd start buying them now though )

I would have moved to San Fran when I had a job offer in my hand. I still kick myself....And I would not have moved to the UK and thus met my wife...I would be happier (and richer) man today.
