It's going to be fun. And would of been a lot more fun if I hadn't bought a big house last year, damn !
I've just been winding up a fellow contractor who has a BTL empire and showed no signs of being worried previously, despite my best efforts. This time he cracked in less than a minute and had a worried look on his face. -

It can't effect London, apparentlyThe court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

If anything, there will be gentle correction, soft landing, and we'll be off again.Comment

One difference is that you've got a lot of sizeable BTL empires owned by people with little behind them other than the property itself. This wasn't really possible in previous slumps. Pretty sure some of them ( plenty !? ) will go down if we have a recession and it'll be interesting what effect this has on local property markets. I know a couple of people with 20+, maybe 30+ that are just about ticking over as things stand, they've also been dabbling in commercial property which is what I think will bring them down.
