Subsequent to the arrival of a rather nice young lady, laying legs akimbo in the sauna, I have had the (mis)fortune to question the empirical validity of this urban myth. Alas only time and thoughts of old people/parents/etc appears to do the trick. -
I don't get this thread.-
How does one actually get banned here.
Surely not just for saying a rude word or even for being a troll?
(and how do you find out someone is banned anyway, not that I can be bothered to check)

I think its a general rule of "do not play games of how far you can push the mods in regards to the word filter or attention seeking"Comment

There are lots of reasons for bans.Originally posted by tim123 View PostI don't get this thread.-

Generally, it's a result of a series of things, rather than a one-off. Sometimes, it's a one-off that takes it too far. Sometimes, it might be a pre-emptive strike. Sometimes, it's a ban for a revisiting banned user under a different name (e.g. "cash cash cash", "el dudester").
If you look in the user profile, it says "Banned" instead of the "Godlike" or whatever. They also disappear from the main members pages unless you specifically search for the user.Comment

How about [Post Count = Post Count - 100] for every infraction earned, or -1000 for each ban?Originally posted by ferret View PostNever thought of doing that, wicked idea! Everyone blame tay if people's post count starts dropping
Churchill is not a nice person anyway, so don't let him back in. We should only have nice people in here
