We have our yearly bash in the Greek on Rheinstrasse that day. We have a gift ceremony where you cannot spend more than €15 on something and these all given a number and then you receive a random present. I've got some pretty good stuff that way. The last couple of years we've also added a bottle of something which gives everyone an excuse to get rid of that old bottle of cheap Retsina which has been sitting around (or in one case, Domestos.) After the meal, charades are played which causes some amusement for the Germans and Greeks in the place with drunken English, Irish, Scottish and occasionally Germans and Italians make complete prats of themselves. At the end of the evening the owner gives the ladies all a bottle of wine and the men get a voucher for a free meal for 2. Then its off to the pub for a sesh...“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment
