Ignoring the peasants and the loons with millions and millions, looks like Mr/Miss/Mrs Average IT Contractor has a net worth of between 300 and 400K
WTF have you done with all the money you've earned?
Not exactly David Beckham territory.
David Beckam earns 100k a week not a year.
Warning Noddy calculation follows:
Say your average contractor earns 100k per anumn, expenses 10k, wages 10k, corp tax 10k, PAYE 5k, 65 net profit. 10 years= circa 500k if you live like a miser, prob 300 ish, plus interest if you don't, add on average house price inflation of main residence, probably 150k of (profit) equity over the same period . so 300-400 seems reasonable for someone under 10 years
Of course BTL paper millionaires etc are excluded zzzzz
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”
