How many times did he jump for a ball and knock it down into a perfect position, only for there to be no one following up?

    It was a shambles

as a contractor I'd do exactly the same thing....

      ..apart from blaming the pitch.

It is strange that sacking leads to higher payoff than voluntary resignation - it should be the other way around because sacking should only happen in case of failure. So anyone who creates contract that rewards for failure should be immediately sacked without any payoff.

It's not one game he got wrong, he lost fair and square against countries that are not supposed to be hard at all, but they raised their game where as England did not. If you can't beat Croatia, how can you expect to beat France, Italy, Germany or even Brazil in World Cups?
Croatia are a better side than england [full stop]

They showed that last night that they are tactically better footballers individually and collectively.

It's not really a sacking though is it ?

            It's early termination of contract.

They should have set him up with some Ladyboy, then sacked him for "unfitting behaviour" of an england manager.

              Aye.

Would have England played like them if England already qualified? I doubt that very much. But Croatians played game they did not have to win at all as though it was World Cup Final, and this is exactly the kind of spirit necessary to win.

It obviously wasn't a perfect position then, was it.

True though, Crouch did everything that could be asked of him.
