What a breath of fresh air Tower Hamlets sound in comparison.

I rang them up to advise that I was moving, they took the details all over the phone without any fuss.

There was an overlap of a week on the two tenancy agreements and the guy on the phone reminded me that I would get a discount for the one that was vacant during that week.

Probably helped though that I was not moving out of the area.

The last time I had some strop about council tax I wrote a polite but firm letter to the local authority's finance director. It worked.

that's exactly what the retard at Camden Council did on 15 March 2007 .. he gave me concessions for leaving half way through a Council Tax Month... but then he asked for my forwarding address.....

Still I can only see two options right now pay up and roll over OR the courts.
