Actually, mathematician (in some previous life before becoming an IT contractor). I always thought that the real reason behind the existence of E8 was to torture maths students. Maybe this guy's theory will prove me wrong.

The magnitude of the E8 calculation invites comparison with the Human Genome Project. The human genome, which contains all the genetic information of a cell, is less than a gigabyte in size.
