You could list all the word and nouns in your area of expertise and glue parts of them together… and you’ll get something like Infosec Ltd

Here are some chemical names you'd want to avoid:

        WTF is the Infosec field?

No matter, as someone else said, use something unrelated to work. You're not a hostage to fortune then (like my company name ), and most names with "solutions" "consultants" etc in them can sound a bit naff or pretentious.

What about including the name of a place?

Huh such language from the fairer sex, hehehe.

Infosec = Information Security, apologies for my assumption that people would know what it might mean.

Yes, I've looked at using a place name - a possibility. I also hate the use of 'solutions', 'consultants' yep adds pretence.

Right now I've got a name that I kind of made up, '.com' and '.co.uk' exist and more importantly Co House doesn't have any other co listed with that name or variation of it.

So I might have found it!

Has anyone designed database/OO programs, etc, using parts of human speech other than verbs and nouns - adjectives, adverbs, etc? CompSci have any use for them at all?

Why not call your company "Supersize Buttplugs r Us Ltd" or something? That way nobody you give a company cheque to will have the nerve to present it.

(Not my idea - It was a classic con whereby mail order clients sent cheques payable to SBRU Ltd and received an "out of stock" reply and a refund cheque with account name as above )
