Don't buy her SlimfastOriginally posted by Apache View PostWhat can I buy my wife for Christmas? The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

..and I bet she didn't either after a crap present like that !bought her a kettle once, that didn't go down too well.Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

That would be a divorce then, plus you get whacked over your head with a pan...Originally posted by FiveTimes View PostWhat about a nice set of pans ?Comment

I suppose you purchased them on the belief that "I wanted to get you something practical you could use".
You may as well just bought her a revolver.
Seriously, how is she meant to pamper and treat herself with a set of non-stick tefal frying pans ?Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It was a good kettle and it matched the cooker. Still use it. Nevertheless, I've taken her feedback on board, hence the question. How about a new hoover, or maybe a Dyson? You know, take things upmarket a bit?Originally posted by AtW View PostMaybe it was not her colour?

Nah, buy a few very expensive t-shirts for yourself and a kit for manual washing of them for her, also don't forget to get powder.Originally posted by Apache View PostHow about a new hoover, or maybe a Dyson? You know, take things upmarket a bit?Comment
