If you think about, every plant makes a noise as it grows and new shoots open and buds pop out.

You need specialist equipment of course set to monitor time lapse recordings of the growth process.

I am informed that rhubarb sounds like whalesong dropped 10 octaves.

Rhubarb's growing noise is almost audible because it grows so fast - especially when it's force-grown on some fruit farms

I always have rhubarb in the garden. Makes a lovely crumble with some apples from the tree.

The nicest is the forced rhubarb you get about February time (put a bucket with a hole poked in it over the plant just after Christmas).
