well boys, 45 in a 30 zone will now be £100 + 6 points, 2 infringements and it's public transport. Ok some might say 45 in a 30 deserves it, yes if it's a built up area, but, some roads that were 50 or 60 now have 30 zones especially for entrapment.

The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.” -
There is new legislation going through now which gives you 6 points per offence. Anyone already on 6 or more points will be banned at the next offence.
Maybe the government could control our speed remotely via EDS and a big database? ID cards would help too.
Doubleplusgood.
PS round my way, the council are putting 20 mph limits everywhere. Time to get back onto horseback.Comment

Soon you will have to hire a man to walk infront of the car waving his little warning flag, just like the old daysThe court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

I must admit that I am quite guilty of speeding almost everywhere. BUT I feel that if I am concentrating well enough on the road and what is around me then I will see the speed cameras, Police traps, undercover police cars...etc.
If I am not concentrating on the road and miss the cameras then it’s my fault as I'm not being safe!Comment

How will that work when, due to road tolling, every cars position and speed is tracked by GPS, or every stretch of road has averaging speed cameras in place?Originally posted by Money Money Money View PostI must admit that I am quite guilty of speeding almost everywhere. How did you pass your test? Blind luck? any speeding during your test is an instant failure, and yet somehow you managed to learn how to drive a car and pass your test (did you have 4 or 5 attempts?) all without speeding or hitting anything.Coffee's for closersComment

Speed doesn't kill ? Where have you dragged that from ?Of course it does, would you like someone to drive past a school in a 30 zone doing over and above the limit.... of course speed kills....Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostWe all know that speed doesn't kill, that there's too many speed cameras, and it's all about raising revenue. And yes, I've had my share of tickets. Annoying, but I was in charge of the vehicle at the time so it's my responsibility.Comment
