Just seen a couple and they have a minimum rental period of six months. Is yours the same?

Yes that's the deal. It's the minimum term for an assured short term rental. I always rent it in the company name as well so there's no misunderstandings later on.

You can claim whatever you like but you'll need receipts if you have a HMRC investigation into your expenses.

Why wouldn't you have any receipts? You are paying money, so get a receipt for it.

What about the YMCA, I know quite a few contractors working in London who stay there during the week. They get the own room and locations are good Euston area and Barbican. , you can do 5 nights for about £165.
