I found a similar solution when fishing.

If you put out two floats and concentrate on one then the other is usually in your blind spot. Now fishing is extremely good at concentrating the mind on pointless or worrying problems. So the solution is to think of the worrying problem when look at one float and to focus on something pleasant while checking the other float. Having done that for a while, alternating between the floats, you simply concentrate on the float with the pleasant associations. Bingo, your problem is forgotten.

Unfortunately there is one drawback. You can miss a lot of bites!

Presumably most have been in a situation where there is some problem really worrying them and no matter how hard they try they keep having the same thoughts over and over again.
Worry is the minds way of finding solutions to problems, and fades once the problem is resolved or offloaded. If you hadn't found your nose solution, or any other, you might have considered the possibility that you may have been wrong in this instance. Some people find that irrational/emotional/violent behaviour is a solution to that, and all the more reason not to give in or admit defeat.

Saw this on the Sun website the other day. It has been driving me mad!
I made it my mission to train my brain to be able to see it going both ways. I have only just been able to do it! Try it.

Collapse the page to half screen size, the scroll down so you can only see her bottom half. Then when you think her leg is sweeping around the front try and imagine it is going round the back instead. I found blurring my eyes helped. Not easy though.

She is obviously going clockwise. The site says most people see her going anti-clockwise which just confirms my belief that most people are wrong.
