Financial Advisors - Worth it ???

    I don't think so

In the process of moving house and updating the protection i have. Had a few quotes from a financial advisor to cover me and mrs for Life and CI. They are the sort of finacial advisor that don't cost me anything and get commision from the insurer.

Thought whilst i had 5 mins on my lunch i would go onto Moneysupermarket and managed to get a quote for exactly the same cover and conditions with the same insurer £20 cheaper than advisor told me......hmm going to have words on monday morning
Thats the way the cookie crumbles

Many financial advisors used to work in Sales, mostly Double glazing.

Not a trade with a high reputation for fair dealing
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

If your IFA is working on commision then you're not wealthy enough to need the products and you're just wasting your money.
