A colleague of mine was a Dr. Who nut. Vaguely interested in seeing a few long-lost-then-rediscovered Troughtons, I agreed to pop 'round to his place to pick up a copy of something... Oh My Dear God In Heaven!!! His whole flat was decked-out like the TARDIS, etc. It was, really, a bit frightening.

I fell for the "can I borrow a couple of your DVDs?" line when I was trying to fit in a bit more with the guys I worked with on a project once. Never again am I falling for that - three years down the line, I still get a weekly email rating the episode of Dr Who / Torchwood / anything sci-fi that they send to each other.
