    I used to drink! But being woken up at 3:30am by my daughters soon put a stop to that!

      Wine.

      One bottle contains (roughly) 6 units.

      So one/two beers after work each night = 5 * 1.5 * 2 = 15 units

      Saturday, will have a couple after playing sport, then a few more in the evening, say 10 pints plus a few of nips = (10 * 2) + (3 * 1) = 23 units

      Sunday, will have between a half and a bottle of wine depending on how much the missus is drinking = 4 units

      Total = 42 units

      42/7 = 6

      Which is closest to a bottle a day.

                Are you accusing me of impersonating someone who was famous for impersonating someone else?
                The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

                But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

                  I do a fair bit of driving so never drink in the week so i have a clear head in the mornings. I do then tend to have a drink on a weekend and lately it has been a fair bit (stag do's and weddings)

                    Not drinking at all at the moment. One of the reasons I left my city gig was the 'binge drinking is cool' culture

                    Was drinking every day after work and getting plastered on the weekend.

                    Not missing it that much at the moment although I do sometimes - not saying I'll never drink again either though

                      I have never gone a week without booze for 20 years, except during periods of sickness. What is the world like without alcohol? Where do sober people go? What do they do?

                      We should be told
