Well possibly instead of using 911 as an excuse to attack a nation that was unconnected to the terror attack ,but not politically acceptable without suitable excuse, where do we start?
A president that has set global relations back 20 years?
A president that has created more terrorists than any other?
A president that is more anti civil liberty than the Labour Party?
A president that is a business partner of the Bin Ladens?
A president with a sub normal IQThe court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

Why doesn't anyone with his profile look at more serious vile crimes being committed like the slave camps in North Korea, or the atrocities being committed by Mugabe, not sexy enough, and too complex I expect. Easier to judge and come up with Gore and Fisk's kind of rubbish than any sane argument.

Lucy, hope you don't mind me asking, were your parents quite right wing? The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

Climate change should not be a political matter, if you are truly interested read Bjorn Lomborg. He points out that giving the world clean drinking water is more effective than trying to control the temperature by a few degrees...
I think those who attack individuals rather than debate the actual issues seem to lack a respect for democracy, remember Thatcher and Bush were both re-elected...Comment

(Can't work out how to put multiple quotes in, OG)
I don't believe I am 'right wing' if you study politics you find out that it is not necessarily as simple as left v right. I have written about this quite a lot previously. Briefly, I simply believe in personal freedom. It would be good if people actually learned a little more than the linear scenario.

And when it comes to North Korea and Mugabe, they are simply not open to appeal. There is no debate to be had. We all know they're cruel tyrannical regimes and they aren't going to change voluntarily.
Climate change is a matter for debate and the necessary (according to those who believe in human caused climate change) change must be carried out by society as a whole which is open to persuasion through debate.
That's the difference.
And as for attacking individuals, see my 1st line about Fisk.Comment

Why do we not see failed politians, celebrities and the like making movies about these filthy regimes? As far as I am concerned there has been no awareness raising about NK or Zimbabwe and the true conditions in these countries. Lefties still think socialism is an answer.
North Korea continues to blackmail the world to get aid to prop up it's slave state which would collapse if it was completely isolated. Similarly South Africa still benefits from the crisis in Zimbabwe, but again it's just not sexy. I doubt that you truly understand these situations.
BTW science is not consensus, and the key point on climate change is that even if humans do contribute, the correct response maybe to do nothing, but this is rarely discussed. Some people seem to enjoy preaching about lifestyle...Comment

As for Zimbabwe and North Korea. I expect I understand them as well as you do.Comment
