We'll all be driving cars running on chip fat in 20 years time
I've posted before about the coming electric car technology, it looks like Mitsubishi will be the first major manufacturer with a mass-market product, due in the UK in 2010 I think. This technology will mean that the cheapest hatchback will have a 0-60 time today's Ferraris would be proud of. It won't be anything to boast about though, as every electric car will have pretty much the same performance as every other one. (The limiting factor will not be engine power apparently, it'll be the weight of the vehicle to be shifted and the ability of tyres to stick to the road without spinning.)

(Having said that, I have read various reports that the Mitsubishi product will be compromised, i.e. only have 2 wheel drive, and it may not even have wheel-motors. If so it may not live up to the claims above.)

I thought you knew everything about tapes.
I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.

Bye bye 777GP and all that.
I used to have an open reel spool of audio tape, on which were several songs from a Top of the Pops in the early seventies, plus a series of farts that me and my mate Ted Sheppard recorded.

It seems to have got lost. And I didn't have a backup.
