I earned the equivalent daily rate of £4000 to eat breakfast when I was on "Millenium Bug" cover.

Went into work, was sent to eat a full English and have some champagne, no work to do, got sent home, got paid.

Earned just over £5k for a week in North Carolina once. Was out there for 7 days, but only worked for 4.
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

      I preferred version 1!

£ infinity per hour. That's based on pay divided by actual work done.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

£1500 - Jan 1st 2000, Midday till 6pm, it was clear by then that no problems were going to cause the 'death of civilisation' that had been predicted. Result was sat around chatting and killing zombies on the Dreamcast someone had brought in.

            Jan 1st 2000 - 6am till 2pm - 8 hour shift - 5 * normal rate + £500 bonus

... just to surf the web

I don't think I'll ever see the likes of that again.

I won £500 off them too, but I entered via the website so it didn't cost me a penny
