    Their major play on being ethical may appeal to certain elements of the public but when finance directors have to get the best deal for their company they do not give a hoot about who the bank does business with.

      Shame they did not try to make money on White Wednesday(16th September 1992). Invested wisely it could have kept those people in jobs.

        Co-op used to rent office space to a well known Manchester based loan shark (sorry, perfectly legit sub-prime lender) company that lends money at 150%+ APR but used to stipulate that 'girly' calenders couldn't be displayed in the office.

        That's how ethical they are.
