I stand by my statement. You don't get assault with intent for minding your own business, I can be righteous of my self in that respect as I comport myself public-wise in a civilized manner.

You sound like a wine bar ponce with that kind of attitude.

Things happen and people can get beaten up in a bar for many reasons. The thing is if you then defend yourself you can end up being the one done. It happened to me many years ago and I was defending a girl. Unforftunately the guy I defended her from then got his friends to say that I started it...4 against 1, I got done.

So get off your high horse and get out to the real world you self righteous twerp.

Well lucky for you that you don't socialise in the places I do with such stupid idiots that go out looking for bother.

Please can we stop all this as this post is turning into a massive FLAME.

Can I say thankyou to all the people who gave me decent answers without judging me.............

lol, I grew up in London, went to state school and have been present (and averted) a lot of these types of situations when out and about, when people who can't hold their drink properly get carried away. Just because you got attacked playing the hero doesn't make you a street wise member of Cosa Nostra all of a sudden.

To be honest with you that is actually a more sensible argument, but it begs the question why socialise in those places? If you know there are dodgy types there then can you not avoid it and go elsewhere?

That's an argument my Father used to put forward. "If you weren't there it wouldn't have happened."

I didn't imply that it did. I was saying that things happen that are out of your control and being self righteous doesn't help.

                "Playing the hero"...get out more.

Well I'm obviously not allowed to play devil's advocate and assume guilt, as you've had a bad experience with the law, well that's that then, so much for open discussion.

                  I get out plenty, thanks.

                    geegle,

                    1. You need to declare it.
                    2. It is not as big a deal as you think.
                    3. If they really want and require your services and there is an urgent requirement, then you will get the SC, more so since you have already had it.
                    4. A Crim for ABH is a "change of circumstances", so even if you already held a current and valid SC, you would have had to declare it anyway, and that would have triggered a review regardless.
                    5. I reckon you'll get it, but you need to be very upfront, the SC is not a "did he rob banks" , more a "did he rob banks and was he trustworthy when he did it" test

good luck and just apply and be honest.....

Keep quiet about it. If someone finds out and gives you some grief, just knock their teeth out.
