The hype was - and still is - overblown. LH didn't really do anything exceptional until Indianapolis. Sure the bloke has a great talent, and with luck will be the next British World Champion. I just wonder though how Vessel or Kova would be doing in the Maclaren.Comment

hmm this would put a whole different complexion on things.Originally posted by lilelvis2000F1 was better when only the best 11 finishes (or whatever it was) was being used. That way you could win races and crash out a couple of times and still win the championship!
of course, it depends on what the cutover point would be but i think the anthill mob (clyde, danny, kirby, mac, ring-a-ding, rug bug benny, and willy) in the bulletproof bomb might pip the bouldermobile to the title.Comment

There seems to be this urban myth spreading that Mclaren has the fastest cars. The 2007 Ferrari's are quicker and this is not in dispute. From purely a speed/acceleration/max speed perspective the Ferrari is the undisputed winner. If you read the Sunday Sport (Bagpuss) you get the impression that the Mclaren is faster, but it ain't.Comment

look. you need to separate fact from fiction. ok it might feel as though blast and meekly should be deserving holders of the greatest racers. but frankly the stats just don't add up. with only 3 wins and 1 second placing they rank as the second worst! only dastardly and muttley beat them to the bottom.
no, the fact is that the slag brothers in the boulder mobile are the undisputed champions. 3 wins, 8 seconds and 3 third placings make them 10 points, yes a whole ten points, better than the next team: the amazing buzzwagon (piloted by rufus ruffcut and sawtooth).
frankly hamilton and his ilk should be studying the slags.
