        b) The war in Iraq was illegal
        c) From what Perle said, there is not enough information to determine whether or not he thinks the war was illegal

OK - you're time is up. No points for anyone but here is the answer:

        b) The war in Iraq was illegal

        Reason:

Perle said 'I think in this case international law stood in the way of doing the right thing'.

When Perle says 'the right thing', this means the invasion of Iraq.
When Perle says 'international law stood in the way of', this means 'international law would not allow'. If a law does not allow something, it is illegal.

Perle said 'international law ... would have required us to leave Saddam Hussein alone'

When Perle says 'leave Saddam alone', this means 'not invade Iraq'. When a law requires you not to do something and you do it, you've broken the law and done something illegal.

No, lets look at the results

The war turned a 600 Billion Surplus in the US Economy into a 600 Billion Defecit

The was to destroy US Foreign Policy Credibility.

The War has reduced the US Influence in the Middle East.

The War has created over 100,000 US Casualties that will require long term medical care

The War has reduced and diminished the cover for Medipay, and Medical Cover in the US.

The War has driven the price of oil up more than 50% in the last two years.

The War has made Air Travel almost unbrearable to and from the US

The war costs the US Economy over 5 Billion a Week.

The war has made you look like the fools we always suspected but were too polite to say you are.

The war has undermined Israels long term position in the Middle east, by the very fact that the US is now persona non grata and cannot be trusted whether by incompetence or just poor policy.

in other words, the war has been an immense success!!

It has made Bush and his cronies very rich in the personal sense however. Who gives a tulip if you run the country into the ground as long as you line the pockets of yourself and your freinds.....

Although without traitors like us, it would have magically worked out somehow.
