Now now good fella, leave NP alone. The opening scene to Closer when she's walking down the street to Damian Rice's The Glass Blowers Daughter is straight out of heaven. My wife actually forgave me as I uttered 'she's gorgeous' in the cinema.

Saw it a few weeks ago on DVD - I thought it was rather well done, and given the times we live in and the type of government we have, was rather poignant...

Maybe if I watched the whole thing I'd get it.
Actually I thought it was really good and made some interesting comments about populations being manipulated by those they elect to power.

More interesting. The original comic books were written in the 80's and were a comment about Thacherism. The film however came out under Blair and was by many considered a comment on Blairism

I thought it was absolutely dreadful load of sh1t. Nifty mask, but any film where the (anti)hero wears a pinny and cooks eggs is to be vilified. I also expected him to say "Mr. Anderson" at the end of each sentence (from another hugely overrated film).

For a bloke with a black outfit and a white face/mask who dishes out punishment, watch "The Crow", it's much better.

            IMHO, etc.

This is NOT a comics movie . It is a political criticism.

It's a movie, first and foremost. Entertainment is it's raison d'etre.

I was not entertained. I remember the egg cooking scene for ridicule only, the rest of it was coma-inducing.

When I want politics, I watch Question Time.
