Like most people I've had periods of my life when I was very happy, and periods when I was not. When I was very happy I wasn't busying myself on bulletin boards on the internet telling strangers how happy I was.

When you're not even thinking about how happy you might be, that's when you're happy.
Touching a nerve I see..... so are you a londoner too?
I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.

No not touching a nerve. Anyone who reads your post sees the sadness.
Wait till the honeymoon period wears off, then you'll have to cope with yourself. Remember I told you, wherever you go you'll have "you" to cope with. It's not where you are you, it's what you do and who you know.

For all it's undoubted flaws, London is alive and full of passion.

        its

I am in Lugano next week, one of the most beautiful places in the planet. In the same amount of time you haven't yet crossed zone 6 from your studio flat in East London in a sardine-packed tube. But hey, if that's passion for you, I am happy for you.

          Lugano

          Aye

I was staying up in a rustic mountain cabin overlooking Lake Lugano and I would go with you on the fact that it is the most beauttiful place in the world.

If you have some time to walk up the mountain, just over the border in Italy there is a place called Signola(sp). You can sit up in the clean Alpine air and look out towards Milano and eat pizza. Classic

            No wonder you left, loser
But I can visit Lugano too you know. Hell, I may even be able to retire there. Whereas you'll have to live in a studio in Zurich or Basle or some such soul-destroying place.

Jeez, this board is more of a p*ssing contest than a place for chat and as one recently suggested "a place for reasoned debate".

I have heard that sadGuru allegedly (but I have no proof of that) managed to complete one of them in spring 2003.
