After that you need to do a medical and then a further test. The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

PS I've driven a flatbet 7.5 ton truck, which you used to be allowed to do on a normal car licence.
Regularly used to drive a 7.5 tonne MAN horsebox on my standard license. Was suprisingly easy to manouver in a tight spot but crap for long distances cos it was so bloody slow. ( Think cruising at 50Mph. )"Being nice costs nothing and sometimes gets you extra bacon" - Pondlife.Comment

You may or may not be aware but speed limiters for vans are on their way. By January 2007 vans of 2.5 to 3.7 tonnes must be limited to 56 mph. This regulation will also effect vans currently on the UK roads i.e. those registered between 1 October 2001 and 31 December 2004 will need to have the speed limiters retrospectively fitted.
However, the main change will come from January 2008 when the regulation gets applied to all vans registered after 1 January 2005. And when we mean all vans we mean all vans that want to access UK roads. This is an EU directive thus imposed throughout Europe.Comment

This is fkin stupid. Imagine if you went to the continent where they dont HAVE mph. Just imagine being limited to 56 km per hour - plain stupid.

Driving is one of the few things which is routinely done worse by professionals than by amateurs.Comment
