You should follow your own advice, you will then find out that India was mainly robbed by the Indian Raj (i.e. its own royalty) who invited the British over and offered them anything they wanted ignoring what effect it was having on thier own populace.

the British are not blameless and took full advantage of the situation, but the Indian ruling class played as much a part as the british Empire

The main problem is the difference in culture. In India it is seen as a bad thing to say that you cannot do something, so they will never say they can't do it no matter how stupid your request, they will just worm around instead. Hence talking to an Indian in an Indian call centre they will always promise you the earth no matter if they can deliver or not. They don't seem to realise that this pisses us off more than if at the start they said, look sorry mate, can't do that.

Oh and I may understand the situation better than you think SigmondFreud......

You have a point here.they dont speak over people.

still i think better than some of the call centre s in UK ,bbc call centre investigation .

and those nodding heads as well. Stop it.
I was looking for a high interest account. It came down to ICESave or ICICI Bank. I decided to call both to see what the customer service was like. I called ICICI 1st and some indian guy picked up the phone. I put the phone down straight away and joined ICESave on-line without even rining in them up. It takes 20 mins just to tell someone at Amazon's customer services centre that you want to return something.

I have no problem with outsourcing to India, as I discussed in this thread:

                http://forums.contractoruk.com/thread17867.html

$10 US month then $15 USD an hour to do some research for my internet marketing business while I'm contracting is very reasonable.

I don't think I'll use YMII for contract searching and phone answering after all at this stage. But the web research will make me a lot of money, save a lot of time and definitely be a good investment.
