The main problem is the difference in culture. In India it is seen as a bad thing to say that you cannot do something, so they will never say they can't do it no matter how stupid your request, they will just worm around instead. Hence talking to an Indian in an Indian call centre they will always promise you the earth no matter if they can deliver or not. They don't seem to realise that this pisses us off more than if at the start they said, look sorry mate, can't do that.
Oh and I may understand the situation better than you think SigmondFreud......
