When agents turn bad (or stupid)...

Infact can they turn stupid? In the same way that a cat can't turn into a cat as its already a cat.

Been doing some add hoc work for them.

To cut a long story short they taxed + NI'd me and paid it into the company bank account. After me pointing out this was bad they said "don't worry you can claim it back". Totally missing the point about seperate legal identities I've been re-submitting the invoice every week (sans the amount paid) adding interest and late penalty charges. Just becuase you feck up payroll and produce a P45 for me doesnt mean that you got it right in the end.

So now I get a 22:30 phone call saying they are worried about how I am getting paid and that I should come in and we can work it out. I just re-e-mailed the invoice. Either pay it or lets get this to court where my contract wins. Not got time to fanny about with people.

Edit: the only good thing I suppose is that they insisted on weekly invoices. So this means that they get 10 x £40 charges not 1 x £70 charge.

    Sweet.

It can very very occasionally work in your favour too..

Negotiated a rate increase for renewal of contract from june 1st, EB has online invoicing system - i ended up getting increased daily rate for all of last week, so 3 days extra... which was nice

The City Link drivers that deliver to me are always miserable gits. I bet they'd love to have the drama and excitement you do. Is it different at DHL?
