Actually, according to the paper this morning, the phone call came 2 hours after the German reporter questioned them.

4 full weeks of a world wide campaign....nothing.
2 hours after they're asked about their involvement......a mysterious phone call.

    Hmmmmm.

So, it was a mysterious crank trying to push further suspision on them. Probably more likely than "oh tulip, we've been rumbled, better do something". If they were involved they wouldn't be so stupid as to do it so quickly.

Did you have any particular mysterious crank in mind?

I think it's about time SA was brought in for questioning - she's far to ready to push the blame elsewhere...

Yeah I know - if I was a bloke I'd be looking more guilty that than poor british f*cker right about now!

btw - I've never heard any more about him - has he just been released and stigmatised forever, without any sort of "oops sorry, we made a mistake" statement being made?

Thats shocking that like - it's like saying "we can't charge him, but oooh watch out, he's a kiddie fiddler".

                Poor bloke.

                  Poor bloke.
Bit like all the blokes who get acquitted of a sex crime really. I don't see why naming anybody is needed.

Certainly in more of the "oops I've shagged this bloke so I'd better claim rape" cases the ladies are being named after the event - but that's equally bad because it make genuine victims even more reluctant to come forward.

No so no need to whinge about "your" money. AFAIK it's private donors, i.e. a few rich people plus a public appeal.
