The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.” -

Mine is up for renewal in a few weeks time as well.
Got a few quotes last week and More Than were coming up cheapest.
Only thing putting me off is the fact that they have an overseas call centre - imagine dealing with them in the event of a claim!
Insurance seems to be similar to the mortgage market in that new business is at the expense of existing customers.
i.e. new customers get competitive quotes whereas renewals can be un-competitive.
Hence, I always shop around come renewal time.Last edited by Clippy; 29 May 2007, 12:53.Comment

It all depends on circumstance, age, etc, I pay £400 for a group 17 car which isn’t bad I suppose.Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment
