Mates 40th birthday party on Sat, mowing the lawn, having an argument, moaning about the bulltulipting of decorators and laughing at their outrageous quotes, watching AA Travelwatch and wishing I wasn't there, learning more impossible Hungarian so I can eventually argue in both languages, screwing in 30 sockets and light fittings myself because we got quotes of £260+ (FFS!)

All in all, another fecking great weekend... can't wait until Tuesday...

Tempted to max out the card at Atlantis arts supplies near Brick Lane. Get a few canvasses and restock my acrylics & gouache, maybe buy that size 10 hog bright I've had my eye on, and perhaps some Lukas oils.

Wonder if I can put artists' supplies through the business...

I'm sure you could do put it down as a team building exercise or an inspiration workshop!

Well done mate. Hire a boat and pootle down the River Ouze for a couple of hours, walk around the wall, go to Betty's if it's not too touristy, and chill out.

Assuming you're still in York, of course!
