Usually about an hour, which is long enough to get bored but not long enough for them to transfer my luggage.

4.5 actually, managed to get them to pay me half a day for travelling on the Monday...

I still manage to make 20% more than I would on a similar project in London.

I used to get travel from Clacton on Sea to Heathrow and back every day...train then tube then tube then bus,.,,.,...nearly 4 hours each way...

At least the Mirage is a reasonable place to stay, Tartarstan is comparatively safe (at least compared with it's neighbours).

Trip out always delayed at immigration in SVO 1. Onward is from SVO 2. Usual problem trying to connect rapidly. Leave here 4AM get there 10PM local time.

Back is a nightmare. 20 odd hours last time. WTF are you supposed to do in SVO for 7 hours waiting? TGI's or nowt groundside really. Then I get stuck in AMS for another 3.

Only other viable route seems to be Frankfurt direct - but it's "overnight" out.

Fortunately I don't have to deal with SVO, BA go straight into DME. Have only had one nightmare trip - was in the lounge in DME for 6 hours when the plane broke.
