I've had 'tennis elbow' for almost three months. Basically my right arm has been pretty much functionless, I could barely shave in the mornings. Saw Dr NHS walk in centre he said it was Tennis Elbow(TE), told me to ice it rest it. 2 weeks no better, went to GP, TE have some antiinflammatories. 3 weeks later was worse, back to NHS walk in centre, different dr. Yeah you definitely have TE, different type of antiinflammatory. 2 more weeks back to GP hmm not getting better will refer u to specialist at Mile End. 3 weeks later went to specialist, oh this needs a cortisone injection you need a specialist to do that, come back in 3 weeks. **** that went private paid £200 to see a brilliant sports dr, diagnosed it as an infection of the bursa and gave me 2 weeks of anitbiotics. He said cortisone would have been the worst thing for it. 2 weeks down the track it's pretty much 100% and that has taken 3 months. If I seen the right person the first time I would have had the problem for just over a week instead of 3 months.

Name and shame: who were these Doctors? Cortisone for an infection! Fer cryin out loud they need striking off, could of left your arm paralyzed, or even requiring amputation.

There was an NHS GP in Mansfield I had some issues with. His diagnoses were a little odd, so I made some enquirees: him and his whole family disappeared in the night, just up and left everything behind. Turns out he never was a qualified medical person, just bluffed his way into the job.

Sounds like you could have met some similar types here. You really can't be too careful now with the NHS. They even set up a web site to help the scumbags steal real Doctors IDs!

Yeah well the Dr didn't mention amputation! But did say I would have bene hospitalised if I'd had the cortisone injection.

Tennis elbow is caused by using a racket with a grip that is too small. Is there something missing from this story that you may wish to share with us?

ha ha well actually the diagnose wasn't tennis elbow, depsite 3 doctors and a physio telling me it was. There is a very easy test as well to determine if u have it. The last Dr I saw tested it and told me straight away it wasn't tennis elbow. But yeah I do have a small c0ck in answer to your question.
