    What a mess, I feel sorry for these people...

    A mother yesterday told the High Court that her youngest child was the illegitimate son of a distinguished doctor and therefore had no right to a share in a substantial family trust fund.

    I often get women asking me to do them a favour. When I've related this to people they laugh as if I'm making it up, but now I know it is not quite so uncommon.

      The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

      But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”
