Another day passes which witnessed further the demise of the Socialist Spectre from Europe - the resignation of John Reid New Labours Home Secretary.

For those who dont know - John Reid was a member of the Communist Party before joining Labour - I dont know about you ,but I find it unacceptable that a person who was a member of the Communist Party which is commited to overthrowing the State - can find himself in the role as Home Secretary frankly absurd and downright dangerous.

So Bye Mr Reid and you can now rejoin your Stalinist Pals in Coatbridge if the SNP will let you back in the country !

Having worked in Paris for the company that designed and built the Eurostar and the TGV - ie the fast trains you speak of - many times I had to walk over 90 mins to work as the unions had stopped the whole of the transport system - this happened many times - the Unions in France are out of control.

And then there was the time when a picket line blocked our exit from work in Paris - myself and a French colleuage who did make it past the picket line in the morning then decided to rush the gate - I was on the back of my mates moped- and I still recall the astonished stares of the pickets as we roared past them !

What about my right to Work ???

As for employment protection - IMHO the only true employment protection is to work hard - the rest is the refuge of the idler.

Say what you like about French, they don't take half as much tulip as we blindly accept here.

I wonder why migrants don't stay in the Gallic Utopia?

I get the feeling I'm about to fall into a trap but... as EU members the Polish have the right to work anywhere else within the EU don't they?
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson
