Personally wouldn't touch a Gucci...I think the brand is just tooooo tacky...however, chicks dig it and if this watch is for her then it is the one to get.
Rolex - like Yorkie, not for girls
Tag - the only one worth having as a woman is the one wit .75ct diamonds round the face which costs about 3 x your budget...unless you go to Dubai where I managed to get one for £950 for my missus
Omega - not good for chicks...its a mans watch
Breitling - only acceptable if you are a Pilot or have a forearm the size of my thigh...and if you lady has a forearm the size of my thigh, why are you spending money on her...lets face it, she ain't gonne leave you is she
Armani - when their jeans cost more than their watches that probably tells you about the quality...also, and I know from past experience, it is embarrassing telling someone its an Armani because it sounds so chav
Chanel - do some very nice watches right now but prob too much
Cartier - the watch for any woman over 40...but go back to my point about fatty
So...the one to get her...providing she is youngish and fairly fit and you don't want to blow your budget is the Gucci...however much it may pain me to say
However, if you want lots of favours and some sparks...every woman I know would do all the things we assume Angelina Jolie does if if her man were to buy her a Bvlgari...so, flash the cash and have some fun...then come on here and tell us all the detail!Property advisor for the people

My wife's got a Gucci watch - the small ones with the narrow steel bands and this faces are really popular and don't look like tat. I can't help feeling a lot of the posters are just saying "It's Gucci so it must be naff" when the smaller watches are very smart.
I've got a Breitling by the way. Instruments for professionals and all that....my quagmire of greed....my cesspit of laziness and unfairness....all I am doing is sticking two fingers up at nurses, doctors and other hard working employed professionals...

Mechanical Tudor watches used to use Rolex movements until fairly recently. Craftsmanship has to be Patek for me. Not exactly cheap though.Comment

But you never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely take care of it for the next generation.
Actually was tempted once, during my early days of contracting, but felt a bit guilty at the time knowing I'd be spending more than most earn in a year just on a watch...so I bought a Cartier instead.

Women hold Rado watches very dear. Judging by the fact that my mother went fecking ballistic when I smahed hers as a kid!
Rolex are a bit bling and Omega / Breitling are a bit 'chest wig and medallion'. Fashion watches (Armani, Gucci, Burberry etc) are a bit chavvy.
You can't go wrong with a good TAG. I've also got an old Heuer watch before they merged with TAG - not sure what it's worth but it's class.Guy Fawkes - "The last man to enter Parliament with honourable intentions."Comment

I collect Breitlings. I have a Navitimer made the month and year I was born and the same watch was photographed for their catalogue after I sent it back for a refurb.
I don't get to fly anymore (solo), since I found out I'm diabetic but I still like wearing pilot watches.Comment

The ad campaign obviously works.Originally posted by Joe BlackBut you never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely take care of it for the next generation.
If I had the cash now that I had 20 years ago I'd have a Patek annual. As it is son will just have to slum it with my Rolex datejust I've had for the last 20 years (and father 15 years before me). Mind you it's far more likely I'll have flogged it pay the nrusing home bills.Comment

I wear a Breitling Navitimer. The circular slide rule and stop watch I find useful in all sorts of odd situations. Had it for a very long time. Instruments for Professionals.
It is correct you need a certain build to wear one. If you're a thin streak of nothin' dragging your arm along like the hunchback of Notre Dam looks a little silly.
Being a cheapskate I maintain it myself. There again, I can.
