I think you'll find it was off. The debate seemed to be over whether such a marginal decision should be given to the attacker, rather than the defenders.

Have you seen him play this season? His fellows professionals think he was the best player. I don't think it's fair to still accuse him of diving and cheating.

I think he probably is the best player - but even the best cheat at times, perhaps that's the difference between good and best, so long as you don't get caught eh?

As I said - I think Man U got better players (and that includes Ronaldo) and to be fair SAF has got lots more experience than Jose and I'd say SAF is a better manager - however it is good to have Jose in English football as it makes things that bit extra competitive - say the title race would not be as interesting as it was this year if it was not for Chelsea: credit for this surely goes to Jose, even though Man U deserves to win the title.

Mourinho is a knob and I agree that a little credit to the opposition wouldn't go a miss at times. Liverpool were better than Chelski on the night - they didn't even turn up. I watched the game in a pub in Uxbridge and it was wall to wall Liverpool with two token Blues in there. There was even a guy who periodically shouted delightfully rounded comments such as

"Fac off Chewsi! Your fackin tulip" or "Get up Drogbaah you cheatin fackin cant"

Nice guy and with such a grasp of the English language. I'm guessing he was cheering on those happy go lucky cheeky scoucers then.

So much for all us Man U fans being from the south east then. There wasn't an 'Ayy Ayy Calm down among them'
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

          I preferred version 1!

            wendigo,
UEFA/FIFA directives do tend to suggest that in marginal cases (as I believe this Kuyt instance to be), the benefit of the doubt should be given to the attacker. The reason it was flagged offside was that the linesman was unable to see Ashley Cole being level with Kuyt as he was on the opposite flank of the pitch to said linesman. Anyway, in the end it didn't matter. Well done Liverpool.

Agree, benefit always to the attacking team, and going by that it was clearly onside - I've no vested interest in either time btw.

                Old memories die hard.

Here is a Ronaldo wink as a reminder:
