You do realise that it gets quite cold in Edmonton? Winter was the reason I returned to the UK (after 30 years). I'm yearning to return...

I've done a ski season there before, and been pretty regularily since to sample the winter delights, it's the main reason I'd go live there to be honest, I take my snowboarding pretty seriously ;-)

Be more interested in Vancouver, no real interest in the middle bits, kinda boring for my liking outside of the slopes.
Hang on - there is actually a place called Cheddar?? - cailin maith

Any forum is a collection of assorted weirdos, cranks and pervs - Board Game Geek

That will be a simply fab time to catch up for a beer. - Tay

Have they just relaxed the laws? It used to be pretty difficult unless you had 8 degrees and were married to an Eskimo.

Rules, you mean rules. I've always thought it were pretty easy to get into Canada.

I've never boarded over there, only in Europe, but hoping to go over to North America next year for a month or so. Just came back from Cham. not the weekend gone, but weekend before that, 26 degrees in the town and 22 on the slopes and snow was pretty good considering the temp.

Vancouver is isolated. You've got Seattle and Vancouver Island - but that's it. As well, you've gots to get up pretty early to watch live UK footie.

If it's pure riding you're afer Canada is the best, nightlife wise it's not as good (Whistler is decent).

Best mountain in the world, for me anyway and I been doing it for 15 years and been to more resorts than I can remember, has got to be Kickin Horse - absolutey awesome freeriding. Steep, deep, great trees runs and amazing off piste.

Had a couple of weeks early on in Fernie this year when it was dumping big time and got another week a month back in St Anton, again when it was dumping - been a great powder year

Actually Vancouver is better for my wife to see her family than being in the UK, and I spent the best part of the my adult life getting up early to watch footy ;-)

Yeah I'm after good long off piste rides. Was in Meribel in march and that had some great off-piste stuff. Not that fussed about the night-life
