    Any RBS Customers here?

RBS card holders face new charge:
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6604857.stm

I might be way off beam here, but this 'charge' is actually a 'fine'. By definition, a charge is for something you provide. A fee is something levied for something you do.

Surely, this 'charge' can't be legal can it?

I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.

Sounds, smells and looks like a penalty. The gall though....calling a gift voucher a 'cash equivalent' and charging high interest immediately. Now that's just got to go to the OFT.

Looks like banks are now gonna try every trick and see which ones they can get away with.
