They had to loan Montella for money - he would have been useful tonight for example. Football has become so depressive. Teams cannot compete any longer when you have so many valid players like Chelsea or Man Utd. Take Valencia - it's a good team but they only have a few good players. Let's hope McClaren makes note of how our English players should be used. Fast pace attack gets the opposition everytime yet put on an England shirt and they punt it around midfield for half an hour each time they get the ball.
