    You are probably right, but I reckon with a decent legal mind and a following wind you could argue that contracting is the embodiment of Clause 4 at a fundamental level. The "common ownership" and running is clearly not about millions of individual companies, but there is no reason it shouldn't be. I think Tony Ben and Red Ken went down that route when they voted against IR35.

    You make a good point on NICs in the first place. For them it is the issue, for us it is not.
    I would ask again how much was paid by Green and Levy and others in NICs? I bet greens bill would cover every contractor in the UK.
